fuk me , i thought that picture had gone with the old forum, nice to see you haven't forgot me , that will haunt me forever i reckon,

right need some advice , my computer is on its way out or got a big time virus which ever , i cant get on any forums without them freezing so posting is a major drama , does anyone know if the dell packages on e bay around 89 quid are any good ? you get tower and a screen etc 
all i need to do is go on e bay , post on forums , facebook to my daughters , cant go on that at all its just freezing and its running like a dog so slow so i thought better to buy something new ???? 
also which windows package is best 5 or 7 i dont want complicated , just basic easy to use like xp or what ever i already have

having trouble just loading this forum its takeing forever , so i need to sort it double quick realy

Just looked at a couple of refurbished Dell packages (I presume what you looked at are also refurbished) and they are borderline ok, they only have tiny hard drives and single core 2.ghz CPU's are not stunningly fast.

A gig of ram is ok for XP which is what these come with, any OS newer needs more ram to be working at its best.

As for the OS, I'd go for one with Windows 7 on it, XP I think has had updates / security supports stopped a while back, Windows Vista is an unfinished and unfriendly version of Windows 7.

Most of those cheapies seemed to come with screens and mini towers, me I'd spend more, maybe double to get something a little more oomph. As long as you only want to do what you said on them then you MIGHT get away with a 99 quid one but I'd deffo spend more.

Easiest way is to show me the exact ones you are looking at and I'll give you my thoughts.
